Ward Commissioner Department of Environmental Protection 59-17 Junction Boulevard Flushing, New York 11373 Subject: Lower Manhattan Indoor Air Pollution Control Dear Commissioner Ward We are aware of the massive work your Department will undertake in clean up operations for lower Manhattan. In this vein we can assist to minimize or control to a high degree indoor air contamination. Everything is premised on exterior and intertor clean up of buildings. Indoor cleaning will basically take out visible contaminants and probably some sub-micron pollutants. i is a fact that apartments and Offices can be recontaminated fram the outside and within the buildings. Periodical recontamination through ventilation shafts and HVAC ductings, among others cannot be fully prevented. Keeping clean indoor and odor free air is the design of our Air Filtration Systems (Carico). We have two Models, one with 9 stages arid the other with 6 stages to ensure proper cleansing of air in a given area. Enclosed is a brochure for your perusual. We will appreciate discussing matters with you personally to clarify/answer questions. May we invite you to our Bloomfield Office in New Jersey. Thank you for the attention. May we hear from you soon. Very truly yours, Delfi M. Sumcad District Manager ce:Al Lardieri President EHP NYC-WTC_000151881
