MEMORANDUM Department of Environmental Protection TO: Sharon Greenberger (Office of 59-17 Junction Boulevard Deputy Mayor Doctoroff) Flushing, New York 11373-5108 FROM: Christopher O.

DATE: 6/12/02 Christopher O. Ward Commissioner RE: Downtown Manhattan - Building Exterior Cleaning Program / Rciidential Apartment Cleaning Program / Letter to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

I am pleased to enclose a signature copy of the final letter to FEMA, which FEMA’s attorneys approved late yesterday. The letter is necessary to provide FEMA with justification for funding the above cleaning programs, and to enable the City to complete the necessary project worksheets.

I would appreciate your arranging for Deputy Mayor Doctoroff to sign the letter. It should then be returned to me and I will sign it for DEP and arrange to have it signed by DOH. I will also arrange to have it sent to FEMA, with a copy (as fully signed) to you for your files.

Thank you for your help on this matter. Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions.
