lh(r Mark I was forwarded a call today from Ms. B. Nation oi? NYCDBS, regarding attending the above meeting on Monday. (See attached.) Per Ms. Nation’s office, she was unreachable today, so I spoke with the DM of (Jns. CB # 7. to get some info' about the meeting. Marilyn prefaced her remarks by saying that in general they want to know about the services available to businesses. However, in light of the WTC disaster, they will want some answers about what relief, if any, they are eligible for. (She said that many vendors from Manhattan's Chinatown have moved into the Flushing area.) As you know there are many restaurants in the area, with grease always a 'slimy' issue? (There are proposed changes Pll to DEP’s Sewer Use Regulations to take iftc. Federal Industrial Preteatment Program into account.) [ I left a message on LaGrotta's voise mail today.] Of course, there wij^l be other unforeseen queries. DBS would like DEP (EEDAU) & SBA to give presentations with her. (Per CB#7, NYCDOS will be there.) Mike said to clear any participation with you. Thank you, Please advise. cc: Michael Gilsenan, Asst. Commr.
