Dear Mr. Oliver. for JLC Environmental Consultants, Inc. (JLC) conducted ambient air sampling asbestos and lead in Apartments =: _Pii_._.__and 5"' Floor Tenant Corridor at the above referenced location on November 30, 2001. The asbestos, dust and lead samples were analyzed using the following methodologies:

1. Asbestos : Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) Methodology, 2. Dust: NIOSH 0600 (Respirable Dust), 3. Lead : Atomic Absorption Spectrometry Method. and The analytical results of the air samples using the Asbestos (PCM), RE~spirable Dust are Lead (AAS) methods indicated that all samples passed the acceptance cntaria which =:s follows:

Asbestos : Acceptance Criteria 0.01 fibers per cubic centimeters, Dust: 5 milligrams per cubic meter, and Lead :50 micrograms per cubic meter. 4:

Based on these results the sampled locations are considered safe for occupancy.

The air sampling and analysis were done utilizing applicable Federal, New, York State OSHA (29 and New York City Regulations pertaining to asbestos to include Federal CFR 1926.58 & 1926.62), EPA (HESHAPS 40 CFR Part 61 40 & CFP. Part 745), and the New York TSCA Title II AHEF1A/ASHAI-•,' ;;40 CFR Part 763) Asbestop Regulations; Department 3tate Departmerr. of Labor lnclustriit Code Rule 56 and the New York City cf Environmental Protection 'title 15.1,-;bestos Regulations.
