Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan:
In response to a request from the Board of Education, the SCA will proceed with clean-up of the subject school.
Work will be performed in two phases. The first phase will consist of cleaning the 6' through 11th Floors, including the roof. The second phase will be from the 1 through the 5th Floor.
Work will commence tomorrow, Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at 10:00am and will continue until completion.
The scope of work includes the cleaning approximately 50,000 square feet. We will utilize two contractors, Trio Asbestos Removal Corp. and Kiss Construction Co. The consultants will be ATC Environmental and Taylor Environmental Group.
Based on our discussion, the SCA will isolate the 6d' floor from the rest of the building and we will use one decon per floor.
On the first day of work, we will perform monitoring outside the building. At the end of the clean-up, we will perform clearance monitoring. All results will be provided to the DEP.
