Bridges and Tunnels
Mr. R. Radhakrishnan, PE August 15, 2002 The City of New York Department of Environmental Protection 59-17 Junction Boulevard Flushing, NY 11373-5108
Subject: Offer to "Clean" 9 Battery Place
Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan:
I am writing this letter in response to the DEP's letter offering to "clean" the facades, roofs, and other exterior surfaces of 9 Battery Place received on August 8, 2002.
MTA Bridges and Tunnels has hired an environmental consultant to investigate and survey potentially contaminated areas on MTA property. A qualified contractor hired by MTA Bridges and Tunnels will clean all areas found to be contaminated including exterior surfaces as well as interior. Therefore, we will not need the DEP's assistance in this task.
I would like to thank you for your letter and if you have any further questions please feel free to call me at my office at 212-360-4164.
Yours Truly,
,I Steven Kozak, CSP
