each sample. Analysis of the air samples was conducted by PCM following NIOSH Method 7400. A Rules.

Analytical results of the air samples range from less than the analytical detection limit of 0.002 fibers per cubic centimeter of air (f/cc) to 0.004 f/cc. These concentrations are below the OSHA PEL for airborne asbestos fibers of 0.1 f/cc based on an 8-hour TWA. The results were also less than the USEPA and New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) asbestos abatement clearance criterion of 0.010 1/cc.

NIOSH Method 7400 does not differentiate airborne asbestos fibers from other types of fibers. Analysis by transmission electron microscopy may be performed to verify the presence of asbestos in such samples. However, this additional analysis was not necessary at this time because all samples for airborne fibers collected by Clayton demonstrated airborne fiber concentration% of less than the EPA and the NYCDEP asbestos clearance criterion of 0.01 f/cc.

4.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
