- Comments for Sample AD28900 - Analysis $GCMS

Westchester Dept, of Labs & Research User: Vinci, David L Date: 12-16-2001 Time: 12:24:12

The GCMS scan, from 35 to 550 amu, does not reveal the presence of unusual compounds, except for the presence of Decanedioic acid bis(2-Ethylhexyl)ester, also known as Bis(2-ethylhexyl) Sebacate, at an estimated level of 53 ug/L, and with a fit of 91 ug/L. This compound is also present in the Laboratory Blank at a level of 270 ug/L. According to the Merck Index (ref. no. 1263) the source of this compound could be an oil used in vacuum pumps. Therefore its presence in samples may be due to laboratory contamination.
