The recovery for bis(2-Ethylhexyl)phthalate in the MDL Standard was above its acceptance range, probably due to
laboratory contamination.
GCMS Scan For Unknowns
Other unknown compounds ug/L 11/5/2001 DLV
A scan of the extract prepared for the 508 analysis, from 35 - 550 amu using a mass spectrometer, does reveal the
presence of a hydrocarbon mixture, probably from an oil related substance. This substance could be in the sample
or could have been from a contaminated sample bottle. No other sample so far has been observed to contain a
similar substance. No other analysis performed has revealed a similar substance, thus there is no indication of
laboratory contamination at this time.
