A scan of the extract prepared for the 508 analysis, from 35 - 550 amu using a mass spectrometer, only reveals the
presence of a single poorly identified compound,
2,6-Diphenyl-4,4-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarbonitrile. The remaining baseline rise surrounding this
compound is due to Siloxane, or column bleed.
