GCMS Scan For Unknowns
Other unknown compounds ug/L 10/16/2001 DLV
A scan of the extract prepared for the 508 analysis, from 35 - 550 amu using a mass spectrometer, reveals the
presence of non-target compounds. However, these compounds were observed in previous Laboratory Blanks,
though not in the Laboratory Blank associated with this sample. An investigation into the source of these
compounds in the Laboratory Blanks and also in many of these NYCDEP samples is still under way. A report will be
made as soon as the investigation is concluded.
